bigdogfox 0 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Share Posted January 27, 2010 looking at what your purposes are,i would recommend a .22wmr (magnum),if its mainly magpies,crows e.t.c your gonna be taking out you dont need a hornet as here in ireland a box of rem. 45g hollowpoints are 45 euro for 50,plus its not only expensive for crows it will also proberely pluck the bird when you hit it And 17 shells arnt that much cheper either,my local dealer charges 25 euro for 20!So if your not gonna be going all out for foxes the magnum will suit you ideally as you can get a good choice of round from federal,rem. or hornady for bewteen 15 and 20 euro for 50 shells,also if you have a half decent scope on it any fox within 100 yards wont stand a chance if you hit him in the right place.......happy hunting Quote Link to post
