DILEMMA

Recommended Posts

Here's one for you. I got an inquiry for a lurcher pup yesterday. the conversation starts, "What have the parents done?". Nothing wrong there you might ask. So I went throught the rigmaroll of telling him the the breeding of the parents and grand parents. I told him that the Sire had done foxes, obviously pre ban, and told him that this was an accident mating with my young Bull bitch, and that she had just started bushing, marking, etc. He went on then to ask me had I done "Stripey" and "Bambi", to which I said "No", because that what he wanted it for. Well what can you say when you are in a situation like this? Obviously he could have been anybody on the end of a phone. I have been in the hunting game since 1973, and had no problems up to now, but I wish I had not advertised the pups and got rid of them. I have kept these pups for three months and fed them to the best of my ability, so that I can pick hopefully the best for myself. But I do not want a load of grief. Any constructive advice would to gratefully received. Thank you. P.S. If there are any HONEST LURCHERMEN out are interested in taking on a 3/4 Bullx1/4 Greyhound pup, for a small donation just to cover the food, and to give progress reports, please pm me, thanks.

Welsnwizard, the best thing you can do is test them on their general hunting knowledge

and put questions to them, make sure you pick hard questions and that you also know the answer to,do this to your satisfaction before sellig a pup, atb,
