jclay91 12
Went for a wander around my permission today to see if any ferreting worth doing, ventured into 1 of the many small woods and found a couple of very scrawny pigeons half frozen in the snow. I have seen them suffering before, not been able to find enough food, the rape just isnt tall enough to break through the covering of snow here. Pests or not i respect what i shoot so i wont be taking aim at any pigeons till this hard weather is done! Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
Good man, they're struggling enough as it is. Any you do shoot wont be worth a rub anyway, feathers and bone and any meat on them will be rank due to the diet of ivy berries. They all over the place down here sat on the ground round the roads slowly wasting away. I've laid off everything bar the foxes for the moment and would happily leave them be too if it werent for the landowner complaining. Quote Link to post
