hw100sniper 2
After some niggling all week from Blair I relented and took him out to a bit of our permission that he likes to go for a plink.I took the 17 hmr with me just to see if it still worked as it hadnt been out the cabinet for as long due to this weather Heres Blair with a rabbit that he stalked about 200yds so he could get a 35yd head shot. After his plinking session he decided he was going to go after the massive icicles besides the tree in the middle of the pic. Heres where the 17 came first into play one piccy showing the view back to what we call the holiday hut and 1 with Blair lying behind the rifle just to give an idea of the distance.Id set some targets up there by the way just so I could check the rifle zero it was just over the 150yd mark back to the hut. And heres where the 17 came back into action. This roe was put up by my lab Ella at about 40 yds from me and stopped about 80yds away so I had to act quick to get the 17 down get phone out pocket and take piccy so not the best of quality . Toka 10
hi...a Stirling .17HMR, either the end of this week or next. depends on transfer to RFD which will probably be in the next few days, but my RFD is only there till mid afternoon firday then off for a week...so if i miss it this fri i will have to wait!!!! look forward to testing my skills out to past 115m as this is the max i use/am confident using my .22lr out to [mostly between 40-80m though]... gonna try the blue tip Hornardy, an ok price, but i dont think my RFD does any others so i hope it will suit the gun, otherwise it will mean a trip a bit further afield.
