Pup advice please

Hi all, recently acquired a lurcher pup, see my other topic,

He's 12 weeks, good as gold.

Now, i was wondering if anyone has or does let their pup come along on a ferreting sesh to have a look?

And, seeing as he's short coated, i was thinking of a whippet coat for him, he's great out in the cold, running around in snow like a loon, but i was thinking that standing around waiting for action might be a little much for a young'un

aye mate get the pup oot wae you, id try an make it short trips to start with

as you said it is cold, but boredom seems tae set im quickly when pups are oot ferreting,

thanks mate, do you think a coat would be in order? bearing in mind he'll hapily sit in the snow watching my other dog trying to be a greyhound

seein as he wont be chasing an will be just watching i dont see any harm mate

 

tho if it was me i think id take the coat wae me an use it half way throo depending on how the wee dog was

as some dogs just dont mind the cold

He's showing all the right stuff, got his recall sorted, his retrieve is pretty good to, he loves praise so that makes my job all the easier. Even if it does mean i get my feet hosed down with excited puppy juice :sick:
