ferreterno1 0
ive buit a dog run and kennel for my pup im getting next week, can i keep the ferrets in hutches inside the run or will the dog chew through the front of the hutches? i did say to my parents that i would move the ferrets down buy the run because they dont want them buy the back door because of the sawdust, but the only place really is inside it there is plenty of room in there what do you lads think? any help would be apreciated. cheers Andy Quote Link to post
gnipper 6,894
My two have access to my ferret cages and never bother with them, like they say though never leave a dog with kids alone just watch them to make sure their ok. The only thing i worry about with mine is when the dogs put their paws on the wire sniffing the ferrets tea just incase one decides dogs paw is more appetising than bunny Gnipper Quote Link to post
Guest iceaz
use 2 layers of mesh a few inch away from each other so if the dog is sniffing at it ect the ferrets cannot bite them Quote Link to post

The Ferret Tamer 1
Only problem i have so far is the pup letting the ferrets out to play with them :11: He was broken to ferrets at 6 weeks When i brought him home from the breeder as i walked down the garden path i chucked him in to the court with 15 castrated hobs and left him there while i had a cup of tea. Went back to find the lads giving him a right runaround and they have been best mates ever since. FT Quote Link to post
