i was thinking of buying an mk3m ferret finder

does anyone have any advice on this?

A really good peice of kit, on my second year with mine, fiddly to get used to at first, but once you get to grips with it you will love it

best of the mk3 is the mk3m,magnetic switch,just be carefull when you switch it on,you dont switch off at the same time,oki doki,mk2 get a bad write up so stay clear,a finder is a big help,save,s a lot of waiting around wondering where the fert is,and adds a few to the bag,aswell,ok,ian

Both the mark1 & the mark3 are top bits of kit but the mark1 is getting on now and deben no longer calibrate them so unless you can get a mark1 as cheap as chips which is very unlikley the mark3 is the most sencible bet.

As "ACE32" quite rightly says stear well clear of the mark2,Nowt but trouble mate
