Guest whitser
started back out with the lamp on wednesday night. the weather was perfect, real strong winds and a little drizzle. i packed socks and the lamp into the car and drove three mins down the road to a large stubble field, this barley field was crawling with bunnies in early spring. i was expecting socks to be a bit rusty as he hadn't been lamping in 6 months, but he was awful.i gave the field a good lamp and socks got 5 slips in all, he missed 5 easy enough rabbits in a row. i hate ending a night on a bad note so i got back in the car and headed to fields that always hold rabbits near my house. socks must've been embaressed by his performance early in the night cos he really stepped to the plate this. he took 4 out of 5 rabbits and done really well on two turning one rabbit of the ditch about four times. that was enough for me and i went home delighted. thursday night was just as windy and seen as the woman was going to bed early with the baby i headed out for an hour with socks. i came home with 3 more bunnies. his attitude was much better from the off and he did his best on every rabbit. CHUFFED the winter is here at last. Quote Link to post
