finding phesants??

i would like to shoot phesants but dont have anywhere near me that i can shoot. so i was wondering do phesants live wild???

and if they do how can i find where they are living??

There bird of the woodland edge primarily,, But most farmland areas with plenty of hedges leading to woodland and small copeses.

just to point out that pheasant living wild will belong to someone( meaning you will need permission on their land).

you may have trouble finding a farmer who will let you shoot game( vermin being easier to get).

your best bet would be to either join a syndicate or rent the shooting rights from the farmer on his land and start your own little shoot( releasing birds of your own).

that sounds easy but i'm afraid its alot of work on your own,just finding some well structured land can be hard enough.

Keep a ear out for the males calling and look for woods In that area. I noticed a few calling when I was In a public wood and sure enough once you ventured off the track at dusk and night you can find them.
