Aust Coarse Pics

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Here's a few pics of some good times taken locally.

The Carp pics are a ten min drive from home & you

can bag up well there this time of year using either

method feeder for the larger bags.

Or 8/10 mtr pole for some real fun.

No need for hair rigs & growing a beard waiting for the optics

to sound..

My daughter Jazz with an elastic stretching common of around 8lb.

Few schoolie size Carp & one nice colored one.

Corn & or maggots account for the best bags.

Still our fish here aren't fished for enough basically,

so you tend to use what works as plenty have gone arse up trying

typical U.K offerings.

My beloved Milo box, Great piece of kit that i have wanted for years.

Cost me a =@ way back in 2001...

It needs to be used more :11:

This is a net full of Cichlids of assorted sizes, 4 to 12 oz or so.

There a crazy species that school up in huge numbers in such a tight space

of water.

Would have easily caught 300/500 for the 5 hour Winter League Match.

Gave me an even 3rd, which shows you the numbers needed to frame.

Whip fished maggot at 4, 5 & 6 mtr's accounts for the best bags.

The Hazelwood pics were from a few years back on a match.

Cichlids are the species.

There like a Pirahna :11: with colorful fins.

They have bred to prodigious numbers after being liberated

years ago by aquarium enthusiasts not thinking.

the water is warm as it comes from a power station.

Hence the explosion of these Sth African species.

They do make good aquarium species though and are easily transported

home.

Used to have a few tanks full of the little crazy things.

Haven't used the coarse gear in shit, :whistling: 3 years now :icon_eek:

Been too busy either fishing the saltwater in the boat...

Or Ferreting

Cheers,

Shaun
