Out for a Stalk / Mixed bag.

Out this morning for a Stalk as i had spotted Roe's in an area the day before,scanned the area with glasses and spotted two Roe's at the edge of a wood stalked down to them sat in approx 200yards from them and watched them for 10mins, then the fog rolled in knackered that, went to high ground away from valley tried a few places but nothing, went to another area and it ended up a good morning, No Deer but a mixed bag!

2 x Graylags= .22 Rimfire.

2 x Cock Phesants= .22 Rimfire

2 x Foxes= Browning .270

4 x Maggies= .22 Rimfire. I had taken the .22 Rimfire with me to zero in as i have not used it in a while, forgot how much fun you can have with it,

i got the Graylags by luck one of the estate farmers flagged me down and asked if i had a shotgun with me and explained about the Geese in one of his fields and wanted me to scare them which i did with the .22 Rimfire, the Phesants were just for me, and the Maggies were in the wrong place at the wrong time ended up a good morning, the camera batteries run out, but got one picture.

if i upset you mate, as 1 of the estate farmer asked me if i had my shotgun with me to scare them off, which i did not so i scared them with .22 Rimmy and had 2 lucky shots :oops: there was over 200 in the field i dont think the farmer would have been to pleased if i said no i cannie i have the wrong gun because when he drives the tractor towards them they just move to another field, so will be going down on Boxing Day with decoy's + 8 bore + 12 bore and get a few Gray's, again wont do it again Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2010
