out lamping 2nite with a lightforce 170 an a 17amp battery was out less than 2 hours so lamp probably wasnt on even an hour an was fading how long roughly should u get out of a fully charged battery???

17 A/hr x 12V= 204W/hr

Lightforce 170=100W bulb, so 204Whr/100W=2.04 hrs

 

So sould last just over 2hours continuous burning!

i think a 17 amp pack should get you about 5-6 hours worth of lamping

you should be getting more than 2 hours lamping from a 17amp battery, mayabe the batterys f****d

i use a lightforce 170,and run it off a 17 amp battery,it should last you at least 5/6 hours,also it depends on the size of your bulb your using,a 100 watt uses more drainage than a 50 watt bulb, a 50 watt bulb gives ample light for running rabbits on small to medium size fields. regards collie john.

depending on where you are i have new ones for sale,i am in cwmbran,southwales,20 for the 17amp ones and 10 for the 7amp ones,not worth sending them through the post,free cup of tea if you come to the area for a battery though,might chuck in a few chocy bicys as well

Eggys spot on with his calc as its a basic electrical equation. Chances are the batterys duff even if new. They dont have an infinite shelf life. If theres nothing wrong and the batterys good then you must be like a lighthouse lamping as most get 5-7 hours out of them as I do with a blitz. I guess if thats the case you on permission

i got my 17 amp battery out of a battery booster for a car they are only £17 just the same battery only you pay a lot more for them from the gun shops

changed it for a 10 amp battery an that lasted a lot longer so i think the 17 amp bats on the way out

i use an EverReady car jumpstarter that i took apart and removed the charger cables from. Kye told me about them, easy to handle and mine has two plug ins for lights (cigarette lighter style plug). I have two, keep one charged all the time and have more lamp time than i want to be out on a cold dark night
