to work at least a year or so to 18 months some earlier some are much later to enter,but around six month or so to get a pup exploring some short EMTY drains etc just for training for when they are mature enough to watch a dig or two

I personally wait until they're about 1 and a half - 2 years old.

 

Take them out when they're younger so they can see the other dogs work but keep them tied up. I let them have a rag on the carcass so they get a taste and know the smell of the Fox.
