the plummer im fed up of seenig this dog in the country mans weekly diging rats and markink rabbits why as this dog never made a good earth dog and never will in my eyes,simply becouse its line is shite and the dog is lacking in capability and isnt realy a diging dog.i have owned one my self the friendship was short and sweet and it wasnt what i would call a terrier,shallow scared and didnt like the punisment.i read a lot of plummers books when i was younger,because they was the only books avalible but the breed is shite and not worth a carrot i have yet to see a good single handed dog two both quarry never in my life time

At least there IS a strain of terrier now that the diehard ratters and rabbiters can opt for without wasting a terrier from digging lines...... thats my opinion.

i have owned a good few dogs in my time even one of mr stevens him self.i didnt no what the feck i was doing when i bought a plummer but i thought i would give the dog a chance,it was shite

No offence meant mate, but why write off a dog before it has a proper chance to do the job it's bred for, I mentioned borders before but what about bedlington owners as well and not k.c. or show ones but workers, I'd personally give a dog a good trial to 3 years plus to get it too do it's job than write it off at the first opportunity:thumbs:, as for nick stevens the bloke bred worker to worker and he was a hunt terrierman was he not? Correct me if I'm wrong or he had the terrier work on his permission to do it

Your right steve here we go again ,did write a longer reply to this but to be honest i can't be fecked with it.But i will say how it is amazing how folks can know so much about a breed by owning just one of them and the single handed bit,well don't know about everyone else but thats how you should work ANY sort of terrier isn't it? and if you have to double yours up then my friend i'm afraid you've still got shite in your kennels. .
