longnet setting

Hi, I have been ferreting for a fair while now and have always used purse nets or shot them but a few months ago i purchased a fifty yard longnet. what i am stuck with is do you permanently attach the poles to the net using tape etc or do you completely dismantle the net and poles everytime like i do. This takes for ever, surely there is an easier way. all help much appreiciated

Do you not have a basket to put it in mate thats the easier option

No. was just looking ath them actually on the bay. do you attach the end poles to the net permanently?

You need to use the search bar at the top of the page mate and look up long nets

 

There's two types the traditanal which you run out and attach the poles to use a half hitch and end pins

 

Then theres the preset which the poles are permanantly on the net and you run in from a basket just brief disriptions
