I am new to this forum i have a 4 month old pup, his sire is oxcroft bloodline and the dam is brightmore, ive done quite abit of ferreting, been to a few fox hunts around my way, i went out and brought a dog cause wanted to do rabbiting and ratting with him, he is showing interest in chasing things and smells around bushes alot can anyone give me any pointers. :)

Have you got any rabbit skins from your ferreting? if so let him play with them, by throwing them in bushes and long grass and let him go and found them for you.

What is he like with your ferrets? does he play with them? if not introduce him to them. :yahoo:

best way to bring a young un on is to take him out with an adult dog and let him watch and learn good luck with him :)
