Lurcher hunting on.

Recommended Posts

I have a Greyhound/whippet X bedlington.

She is just over 2 years old now,

She is catching and bringing back live to hand on the lamp, but the problem is if I slip her and she fails to catch she just buggers off nose down and just switches off.

I have seen her chasing rabbits into hedgrows and dissapearing into the thick of it and dragging the bunnie out .

I have tried switching off the lamp, she comes back after a while but disturbs everthing else around.

I think it could be the beddie coming through with the obediance levels.

Any thoughs you lads can give us.

It frustrating and bloody anoying at times.

The bitch I have only lamped rabbits with her,and can only take out in the day where there is no scent of rabbits.as again she just switches off and hunts off into the distance.

Help needed. :wallbash:

do you work it through the day??

No she has no daywork, she has started marking rats, and has had a few down the bottom of the garden amongst the chooks.

Dont get me wrong she has her exercise in the days just on the playing feilds, where there is no rabbits..
