Redding Powder Measures

Hi Folks,

 

I am considering buying a new powder measure and got to looking at the Redding Match Grade-BR3

 

I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of either this measure or any of the Redding ones.

 

Any help appreciated.

Well:

Why not use a teaspoon, then buy a decent digital scale and a powder trickler.

No dispenser is good enough, it's just 'near enough' then get it right before

you fill the case.

If 'near enough' is you then OK fill your boots, the Redding gear is top of the range

so if your not ultra fussy then go for it.

I only hunt wih my ammo, but I don't mind messing around for 5 minutes at each cartridge

to get the 57.00 Grains spot on, but it's your call!

use a thimble thats [bANNED TEXT] my grandad used to use when he used to make his own cartridges and he made 1000's and had no problem

Andy, I have a digital scales but i'm not overly confident in it, perhaps its time I bought a new/more accurate one instead of this thing, thanks for your comments

SS have you thought about the chargemaster instead?

i had already purchased the lyman dps3 or would of

bought the chargemaster from here http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?searchItem=chargemaster

should work out about £230 inc tax and delivery

I Had a Redding for a while but it would not throw reloader 22 very accurately at all so i upgraded it to a Harrel from Sinclair international.

to be honest i mostly use a Lee perfect measure set to throw light charges then use a dribbler to top it up in the scale pan.

Works for me.
