Guest Know Fack all
been thinking of getting some ferets but i want to look after them properly, the place I am thinking of keeping them is in my brick shed although there is not a lot of light in there if any, is this not a good idea to keep them where they cant get any sunlight? bullsmilk 2
its not just light mate you gotta think about ventilation...keeping the air moving keeps down bactieria and smell and keeps the ferts and any other animal healthy..the mesh window sounds good Quote Link to post
doddsy1970 9
Id wait until the trees are down first mate. If you are going to keep animals they should be kept in the best possible housing and conditions. Quote Link to post
Guest Frank
Cant you keep them in the garden? Frank. Quote Link to post
Guest Know Fack all
Not really frank its like London zoo and Alton towers round here mate all in a little garden :11: Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Doesn't sound like much of a goer to me, mate. Think it through; When ye need to clean them out; What are ye going to do with them? Drop them on the floor and keep the door shut? They'll get out. It'll happen. Then ye'll have armageddon in that garden. Ferrets ~ as Bullsmilk so rightly suggests ~ need fresh air and light. They're normal mammals, but not moles. If those trees are only 4' away and not on your property, I'm taking it there's no way of giving them a meshed run that side of the shed either? Other side? They should be allowed access to the real air, mate. Sounds like this could be a straw too many. Suggest ye have a serious re think. Quote Link to post
