ferret sores

Hi All

 

Have two females who between them have 9 kits approximately 3-4 weeks old. Everything has been fine and mums seem to be sharing nursing. Last few days have noticed one mum has developed sores/scabs around her ears, nose and mouth. (other mum and kits seem fine) I have been feeding them a good varied diet, so don't think its a deficiancy, and have checked for fees/mites/ticks.

 

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be and how I can treat it.

Have taken some photos - anyone any ideas? She seems quite happy and active, sores don't seem to bother her. Have made appointment for vets tomorrows - but would like to hear some of your views.

Have checked other gill and babys again today - all seem fine.

Never seen that before. Let us know what the vet says, would be interesting to know what his conclusion would be.
