Deker 3,491
This was done yesterday morning and I make no suggestion it is a foolproof scientific test, but interesting. Rifle CZ Silhouette 22" barrel and Sirocco Mod. Figures in brackets are manufacturers spec. Muzzle reading was approx 1.5metres in front of muzzle but 100 yard is accurate. Hornady 17g V-Max muzzle 2463ft sec (2550) 100yards 1824ft sec (1901) CCI 20g Gamepoint muzzle 2293ft sec (2375) 100yards 1701ft sec (1754) Groups at 100 yards. 17g V-Max 1.3" (5 shots) 20g Gamepoint 1.0" (8 shots) This is completely opposite to the norm I have experienced and is probably the best 20g group I have ever shot and one of the worst 17g groups. It was cold and damp yesterday morning and a very gusty side wind, by chance this appears to have helped the 20g and hindered to 17g! Thanks to Mr logic for his help and use of his chrono!
