Deker 3,491
Ok, I thought I had a pretty good understanding and knowledge of electrics but this new stuff is doing my head! Background, Tracer Mini 12v 30w lamp. These lamps are hard to find and expensive so some simply use the 12v 35w equivalent, the Tracer has a smallish enclosure so heat is an issue but with a dimmer unit fitted this is manageable. NOW....I have just found the LOW POWER SUPER EFFICIENT version of the 12v 35w lamp for under £2.00. This is 12v 25w rated as equivalent to the 35w version. Questions 1. will this lamp work with the dimmer? 2. will it use less power and therefore make the battery last longer? 3. will it get as hot? 4. anything I have forgotten to ask?
