Do a reccie during daylight hours I use small pegs with a dab of fluorescent paint on the top to mark out where the nets are to be set then all you need is a low strenght pocket torch to locate the pegs

Take the chance...If the rabbits are there, you will get them, if not you wont, Nothing lost except your time, As for setting pegs and going back with a torch, Thats nonsense in my opinion

fair enough do a recce of the area but what you see on the day does'nt mean they'll be there in darkness. some might be late feeders and any light is going to switch them rabbits on that something is not right

if i implyed that i had got the idea of a look round with a lamp from peg to peg it was not ment that way it was just a way of saying how little i now on longnetting it was just a thought i had myself may be i was thinking out loud on a key board ?
