how often do your runners get cuts and impact wounds??

Recommended Posts

dog has returned from a trip out with a skin tear to the upper chest/neck , vet says this is a dangerous area as the cut was mm away from the jugular(spelling?) and any further penetration in that area could reach vital organs. was just wondering if there was anything available in a sort of running vest as a second skin layer?? maybe like the boar dog chest protection but a little less restricting. this area of my dog takes a few knocks and it seem to be an obvious solution as this will now cost me lost time during an ever shortening season and more vet bills.

protection ...maybe you need something like this and bandage its legs up :whistling:

Seriously tho bumps and bruise cuts and scapes are all part of your dogs working life and as for coating them up while working i'm thinking they might overheat

very funny!!

may be just my hund but when out with the terriers shes prone to diving into cover to grab what they are on and being stabbed in the process , this was just an idea too see if there was anything available possibly in a breathable fabric to avoid overheat , but overall its just a way to reduce time lost to injuries that could be avoided with a litte forethought. atb :notworthy:
