foxdropper 17,092
Phone call grom a landowner to ask how the stalking was going and was there any venison about to which i replied "no, get your own "lol.Of course i took some over and was asked to bring the rifle as a fox had been worying the chooks early morning .I couldnt get there until the evening and so i had a sit down ,back to a hedge ,rifle on fully extended bipod.Just before dark ,as is always the case, a fox appeared at the far end of this small holding and a sqeak saw it coming my way .It looked committed but veered off to get around a sheep netted fence .It never reappeared for a long time ,nearly too dark to see but i spotted him in the gloming out in the middle of a large field and still the other side of the fence .Ranged him at 124 m .Packed the bipod down and lead down to take the shot . Heard the strike but never saw him roll over .Went to him and found a small dog fox .Will await to see if the worying carries on before feeling good about it . Quote Link to post
