FOXHUNTER 5,021
Lamped a farm last nite that consists of large stubbles , turned on the callmaster and immediately had 2 foxes screaming in from about half amile away each , one out in front and one out to the right. Unfortunately they both worked the wind and disappeared before getting a shot. :realmad: A couple of fields further on and we lamped another 2 foxes in same field but once again they didnt like the lamp and scarpered. :realmad: As we left the farm we were a bit pissed off at seeing 4 foxes but not getting a shot , so in desperation I lamped one last field on the way out and spotted another fox , this fox also was very skittish. I continued calling with my hand and luckily pulled in another fox from afar which hung around long enough for a shot On way home I lamped one more field on a different farm and was lucky to bag another vixen So what started as a poor night finished off OK Quote Link to post

Squirrel_Basher 17,102
Foxhunter-If you see a fox coming towards you in what I call a 3/4 fashion, leave your mate where he is and then work the wind yourself mate .Shuffle over to intercept .A fox very rarely changes a 3/4 route .Do not squeak again yourself but let your mate carry on .Try it !.
