Big Dog222 0
Personally I never get a roast to taste the way I want it. The next day when cool, it is great to eat anyway you want. The last 2 deer I butchered I just cut them into steaks and the rest my butcher minced it all 19lb of it. I love cooking it in steaks and so do my kids. What I do: Season the steaks both side with garlic power, garlic salt, fresh black pepper and a little fine sea salt. I fry in olive oil and butter. The main thing is dont over cook you need to have some colour left in the centre. I don't like it to rare but pink in the middle is good for me. I usually make a light grave with pan juices and red jelly jam a friend gives me. Serve the meat on a bed of champ??? (creamy/buttery mash potato with spring oinion in it and seasoned) what ever veg you like. This style of seasoning BBQs really well to. Try this simple recipe and you will love it, let me know.
