To be honest mate you cant beat scraps from the butchers. it doesnt do my dogs any harm i also mix a bit of dried in with it and leave some dried in a bowl for them to eat if they want extra food. my dogs look well on it so it must be working. Try not to panic too much about feeding your dog/ dogs itsabout what suits you and your dog also

if its good lean mince there would be 7grams of protein per ounce, the dryer the meat = less water and more protein, so chicken and turkey are dry meats so have more protein than red meat, there would be about 112 grams of protein in a pound of top cut lean mince. ;)

Hi, from your posts you do seem to be getting rather obsessed with the whole protein thang......Just feed a balanced diet and stop worrying...raw meat/ bone and a half handy biscuit will give you the results you need. The most important is getting the dog out and in the fields. A high protien diet is no good if you have to clean it all up the next morning.....Good Luck..JD
