Just wondering if all you lads reckon if this weekend is just a little early to start up hunting again. Was thinking of going out myself this weekend because i can't wait. You all know what that feeling is like. Anyway was just looking for other peoples opinions. Thanks and happy hunting for the new season

Too mild, way too early for me, not that I don't want to get out, but I hate all the cover and much prefer to dig in the cold.

 

Plus the cubs are still only 7/8 months old.

Odd walk out, starting properly around beginning of October.

Still to hot for the dogs , End october when cover is down and quarry are of age to be worked.

 

Differant if it's is a must to secure permission and farmer request that it be done.

i think its still a bit rare to get a fox to ground if your using the terriers these days still a bit a warm end of september i think its about right

Still to much cover around here Maize, Linseed, beans all of which they love laying up in.

Put one to ground 5.30 this morning whilest out exercising.

Cover still to thick round here have had a look at some local setts not much going on wiyh them roll on the cold weather

i'll start back with the lamp at start of sept but wait til end of sept til i get the spades out, just let it get a touch cooler.
