Anyone heard of this?

One of my jills injured her foreleg last week................how the injury happened I have no idea, but I only noticed it when I gave them their morning check over.

She couldn't put any weight at all on her left foreleg, & didn't really seem to realise it was actually there at all. I had a good feel over, & it didn't appear broken or dislocated, but had slight swelling. She didn't mind me having a look at it, but didn't particularly like having it extended. Apart from the fact she wasn't using the leg, she was in great fettle, rattling around like her usual daft self & eating fine.

She's well on the mend now, which brings me to the point! Has anyone heard of a fert sustaining an injury to the radial nerve, resulting in temporary paralysis of a limb?

Quite possible! The court's on two levels, with an open platform a foot or so high.........they've got a ramp leading up, but of course they just have to climb up the mesh to get onto it, as using the ramp wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun, lol!

I wonder if she'd maybe managed to get her toe caught in the mesh on the way up, or down? Either way, she's well on the mend now, thankfully. She's one of my favourites, wee soul :)

Thanks mate

Wouldn't be a complete disaster if she's not up to it for this season, to be honest. I've got 8 in the court altogether (although my young hob Ted is such a monster he'd be better off be used for bolting foxes! :icon_eek:), so even though 4 of them are this seasons kits, and yet to come into their own, I've got scope for some variation in the 'toolkit'
