Guest mucker
ive just bought my first pcp rifle and im set to decide on getting a stirrup type pump or bottle filling kit. in some shooting mags i recently aquired ive come across 240v air compressor. this interests me but what i want to know is are they a specially made kit or could i just go and buy any old compressor and add some kind of filter. has anyone knocked there own up, its just the one ive come across thats made by logun cost £599.99 Quote Link to post
Guest whippet
Don't even think about 'knocking up your own', no normal compressor you could buy would be able to provide the pressures needed for airguns. Just get a pump or a bottle. Quote Link to post

Ricky-N.p.p 0
Tip though ! if you're using a pump then fill you're bottle after each use...much easyer than trying to fill a buddy bottle :download: Quote Link to post
Guest The Shaman
Yep all of the above are true and sound. Just in case you are wondering you gun will need filling/charging to about 200 bar (not psi, big difference). Most car tyres are filled to 2 bar. Even the effing great blue compressors you see in garages and workshops and diy nuts' sheds are only about 10 Bar. The divers bottles etc that are used are special bits of kit and not to be knocked up in a garden shed. A truck wheel which has about 6 - 8 Bar having a blowout is scary 200 bar blowing out would probably wreck your front room or house and shred you to the bone. If your fit use a stirrup pump - if you've got the money buy the filling gear - if neither go along to your local divers shop, take the valve that came with the gun, and they will fill it for a couple of quid.
