a lot of the wheatons have bull blood in them, from what i am told by those that still work them,i have seen a couple go out, there not for me,but if they ever get as popular as the bullcross you have shit out, because with the real deal dogs will come the peddlers,so my guess is 5 year from now they wont be worth a bolt,,,

No mate the irish put wheaten into the bull to make them more gainer and keener that is where the irish staff originate from (wheaten and staff bulls) that is the old type the old irish poachers dog to guard them if got into trouble.:blink:

no way you'd put a wheaton into a bull to make it keener !!!or gamer!!!

have some friends from ireland and when we;ve talked about wheatons they have said its very hard to find a wheaton without any bull blood in it , these discussions took place about 10 years ago !!!

irish staff was a mishmash of bull breeds, the term irish staff is frequently used by dogs bred down from the likes of psycho for obvious reasons

got some nice looking "irish staffs " around my way all owned by chav types  shame ;)

I always wonder just how good the "bull" or "wheaten" or "beddy" is in the cross? As there aren't many real good game ones of any of them knocking about anymore.I'm quite lucky that I can trace my three quarter bullx right back to the first cross pit, as she was line bred by one lad who whole heartedly tests all of his dogs to the full. When you see ads for pups do you wonder about the ability of these game dogs? I once saw an ad for a bullx that went on to say it was greyhound x with english bull!

Never doubt the ability of a good bullx, I've seen a few and they are dead game.

i beileve the bull in ozzy is back to a line called the J line back to a dog called fearless jack. dont no feck all about bull breeds so its neither here nor there to me :rofl:

not long back you argued that ozzy was definatley a first cross wheaten/whippet. then lately you said the dog had some greyhound blood in it and now you say there is bull blood in it

Ime not the best of writers, but Buster if you learnt to string 2 or 3 words together before posting and stopped daydreaming you might get a better response.
