Guest Duzabit
Ok all This is one for the more experianced lurcher folk out there, There seems to be a rise in the number of wheaton crosses at the moment. If your working your dog regular to large or biting quarry What as the wheaton x got that the bull x has'nt, ive got a bull x but i;ve heard some good reports of the 1st x wheaton. I do like the look of the wheaton as 1st x but never seen one doing the buisness. Duz Quote Link to post
Guest oldskool
they do do the biz .... we havent had one for years but im sure they havent change much?? i think alot of whetons have a touch of bull in them now anyway?? Quote Link to post
Stabs 3
I'd have another Wheaten cross like a f*****g shot.....bred from the right stuff of course. No point in breeding from a dog just because it's a bull or a wheaten. Names or labels mean f*****g nothing. Ability is paramount Quote Link to post
markfox 4
never had a wheaton cross mate. but have had a lot of shit bullx what are ment to do the job. and they shit them self when you show them some thing.and been on trial.and gone back. they nead PTS. will try a wheaton when my lurchers pack in Quote Link to post

Guest grubygrafter
ozzy with haircut. before haircut cant comment fully on this yet but my wheaten x is coming along nicely he has a powerfull hunting instinct. and he is up to the job although he is young and a little over enthusiastic at the moment cant coment on bullx's but i'm sure there are some out there that can do there job also good hunting all whatever your breed of lurcher stabs we liked your little wheaten x too shame you never got more time to spend with it Quote Link to post
Guest Duzabit
Ozzy is a fine looking animal' he looks like the father to my mates 3 quarter bred wheaton g/hound pup. his he a 1st x.? Duz Quote Link to post
Kane 2
1sr xs.Wheaten generaly more versatile but when you want a terrier mans lurcher nothing comes close to a good bullx its not only gameness that makes the x but the power and bulk.JMO. Quote Link to post
Guest bobbys back
a lot of the wheatons have bull blood in them, from what i am told by those that still work them,i have seen a couple go out, there not for me,but if they ever get as popular as the bullcross you have shit out, because with the real deal dogs will come the peddlers,so my guess is 5 year from now they wont be worth a bolt,,, Quote Link to post
