There is no official law stating when ferreting can be done but a lot of ferreting men wont ferret until the colder months due to the fact that there are to many babies around in the summer months. You can still ferret in summer, buts its not advicable. But I suppose down under rabbits breed all year round?? ATB Mike, Quote Link to post
stubby 175 Posted September 4, 2009 Report Share Posted September 4, 2009 it depends if its done for sport or pest control, sporting ferreters normally only ferret in the winter months, as less ground cover and less/no young down the holes, which can lead to more digging, but pest control wise, all year round if the customer is asking, Quote Link to post
