Beddlington X grooming..do you clipper or strip the coat ?

if any of you lot saw this little mutt when i got her you will see she,s come a very long way..

i used a furminator type comb and took out about 2 pillow case fulls of fluff and old hair so far...clippered her legs and butt..and trimed her eyes so she can see...the insides of the ears was interesting..reckon you could have grown spuds in there..only thing to worry about now is the Dew claws..i think its a bit late for that now though..so i,ll tape em up if where doing any work on rough stuff.she,s been ok so far.

ive took bloody loads of fur off but i think there a lot more to go yet..so im going slowly.

Cracking looking dog mate.

 

I clip mine twice a year and also hand strip with a hacksaw blade later into winter.

 

I'm going to try that clipper blade method next time I strip his coat though.
