useing fur

whats the best way to learn how to prepare it properly so it is able to be used make things from it ect ect tanning what ive done with rabbits is pin it tight scrap of th fat then soak in salty water then hang out to dry is this the best way is there things i can use to help with it .

 

i dont like useing chemicals if i dont have to i would sooner do it naturaly every culture has done it do you know the best way cheers bigdan

If you just google in "HOME FUR TANNING" you will get links to several sites including one using Native American methods. Basically, salt and neat's foot oil. About as natural as it gets. Interesting project. ATVB
