Over time you'll learn where the hot spots are, unfortunately they may, read will, move through the seasons. I regularly walk the dog over my shoots & note where I see things through the seasons as well as when I'm shooting. I don't use the same hot spot either, once in a while, useing different hot spots for each visit. Carry a small pocket bino, if I pick the wrong spot I just move, or even just watch movement & learn.
