dogs and humans have different systems (biologicly) a drug which causes swelling to go down on your mother may work,or cause kidney failure/heart attack/stroke or damage the digestive organs. in short NO.

i would go to the vets and get him to take a look. if you take the packaging with you he can see whats in it and say yay or nay( more than likely nay as the stuff he will give you will be for dogs).

some medicines used on animals are the same as those for humans, different dosage but the same stuff.if you are not sure then ask a vet. costs alot sometimes but the little treasures are worth it aren't they :)

hope this helps some.

atb in getting the foot sorted out mate.

thanks for that pal. it was just an idea. its not that serious that i have to take him to the vets as ive been smothering it with anteseptic cream that helps it heal, prevent infection and numbs the pain. seems to be doing him a world of good. i have also been road walking him morning and night to help him put pressure on it. he will be back to normal in a couple of days. thanks for your concerns.
