this post doesnt fit in ether lurchers or terriers, so i thought i would put it here...

Would be nice to get your thoughts, on this....

ive got a 2 year old harris hawk ..

the ground am working is a cross of open fields and gors, and some woodland...

and am thinking of getting a bushing dog to work with him, i dont want a Cocker or Springer,,, so the choices are a terrier or a beddy x whippet,

ive had a whippet in the past,

has anyone used this type for lurcher for get in the bushes and flushing, dont forget i work gors aswell.....

then on the other hand, a terrier would be ideal for bushing and flushing , but thats it,

so the up side of a lurcher, can be used for lamping and coursing, but are they any good at bushing..

terrier up side great busher and rat dog, but thats it...

thanks

At 1st she was very nervous of the terrier and would'nt chase anything flushed. We just kept persevering and eventually when she realised she had nothing to fear would start to intimidate the dog, flying low over her causing the dog to drop to the floor. Poor Doris

MOLL.
