first propper walk

took bailey for hes first proper walk about a hour ago and he was good .went abit mad when we seen a crow i wanted to let him of but thinks hes abit to young still .gona give my best to this puppy now no more selling posts or trying to get him away from us i am detemrited to be a good owner i ahve wanted a lurcher for so long aso why shud i get rid of him all becuase he bites the kids hes a puppy teething and playing i made a clapping noise when he bit and he just sat down next to me .so i need advice from yous to help me along so i dont keep thinking the best thing is to sell my puppy .if i leave the room bailey follwes me first thing on a morig when i go in to the kitchen he gets all excited and licks me to death lmao

 

so i think i was being harsh thinking or hes biting lets sell him i feel awful for being like that with him

i have aklways wanted to go to the dog shows and i think its sumit i want to achive

firstly take things slow, when you walk him be patient yet firm, when he's good give praise, when not correct him, the slap works for when he's being to excitable with the kids,,,has he got a place that he call his space away from the kids, like a crate or something . .

bring him to everywhere, he needs to be introduced to everything he'l meet in the rest of his life, buses, cars, trains, dogs, people, etc walk him little and often and always finish on a good note with him being good,

thanks hun i wil do we crossed the road and he pulled back abit when i truck went passes i told him its ok bailey and said sit and he sat til we crossed over propley .i have also told ther kids that when he jumps up at yous dont scream and shout becuase hes playing but dont want him to start geting nasty with yous they said ok mum we will so fingers crossed xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
