Land Rover S1 Mobile Phone

Recommended Posts

Just got a new phone, the Land Rover S1, made by sonim, the same people that made the JCB phone.

As yet, I am greatly dissapointed with it, the reviews for this phone were awsome, there is even a video of some one driving a defender over it, IN MUD, water proof to a depth of 1M for 30 mins, dust proof, works in extremre temperatures

etc, etc.. thats the phone for me I thought, perfectly suited to my work & social life style.

However, from the moment it came out of the box, it has been absolute poo.

No instruction manual, just a disc, that connects you to the web & opens a pdf file, hardly convinient.

Unable to connect it to my pc, as no software disc seems to come with the package, & despite downloading the appropriate program from sonim, it still won't connect, so am unable to get pictures etc from phone to pc or visa versa.

Went in to a phone shop in town to enquire as to why it won't connect & was told to add a memory card & the pc would pick it up as a mass storage device, however, as I unscrewed the back pannel, (it screws up to keep it water tight),

the screws sheared , both of them, leaving me unable to put the cover back on, a landrover may beable to drive over it, but for chuffs sake, don't try taking the back off.:censored:

Any one else suffered problems with these phones?
