Hi, just after a bit of information.

All the questions I wanted to ask the vet went out the window once he told me the cost of my vist

I had noticed that my dogs breath was getting a bit out of control and could find none of the obvious reasons for it...teeth, diet etc. so took him along to the vets yesterday who after checking him said his lymph Nodes were swollen and that he thought they must be infected, he gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way.

How do the lymph Nodes get infected, can i prevent this from happening again, and could it be something i am doing that caused it?

I know i could search the WWW but thought i would ask experienced working dog men, cheers, Andrew.

You sure you heard him right mate?...swollen lymph nodes can be an indication that the dog has an infection somewhere in its body...i used to have a kind of map of a dogs lymph node system which showed you which area of the body was infected if certain nodes where swollen...phone the vet back and ask him to explain it better...its what you pay em for!

I might have miss heard, I know the lymph nodes in my dogs neck are swollen, not so much you can notice just by looking but once i had a feel myself when we got home you can tell. Will ring vet and ask where the infection is, you are too right it is what i paid him for lol Thanks for the info

so it is not the lymph nodes that are infected it is because of an infection that they are swollen.....so its probs just summit daft.
