Ive just bought a new hammer spring for my Ratcatcher, it comes with a guide that goes through the spring, it has a flat end. After stripping the gun the old spring does not have one of these. The question is does the flat end of the guide go into the hammer or into the breech block at the back, any help would be greatly appreciated, atb DAN

With the guide in situ, welded or pressed washer on guide rearward, when the sping is compressed under bolt action without obstructing sear engagement you are ok, if sear will not engage remove guide, as not all Crosman King & Ratcatchers were built with guide.

foxon.
