shotgunwilly 177
im going back about 15-16 yrs ago and a friend of mine had an alsation x greyhound straight cross,[not my type of dog],this dog took all quarry the best iv seen for foxes etc,out lamping hardly missed a rabbit and also seen it deck hares at day time, but the thing that happend to it was as it aged its back end started to collapes and drag its back feet [common in all alsations to do that]........ paddybarr 77
i had a 1st cross 25 years back and he was 1st class allround lurcher, his only vice was he had a very hard mouth and tended to smash his prey and he got a liking for killing feral cats as a pup not a problem with ferals but a bit embrassing when he started on the neighbourhood pets Quote Link to post
Guest sph1979
They are nice dogs very laid back. Just think if the police started to use them, the poachers would never get away lol Quote Link to post

northwestmitch 9
Are these dogs Alsation or GSDx. Because there is a big difference between the two. There the same breed mate they changed the name from GSD to a Alsation because of the 1st world war, with the anti feeling towards anything German but there is a differance between the old British, GSD breeding in confirmation eg bigger boned more of a level back ect, to what you see today but still one of the same dog Quote Link to post
