THE GRIFF 8
After been away from airguns for nearly 10 years, i have recently been out and bought a new one. God, how things have changed in 10 years, but thats a different story. Anyway i have bought myself an air arms 510 in .177 and was wondering if anyone could recomend a type of pellet for killing rabbits and pigeons? Thanks Quote Link to post
aaronpigeonplucker 32
Air Arms field diablo work well and most pepole will reccommend them. stealth1 (site memeber) swears by RWS superdomes. any good and accurate domed pellet will do. Quote Link to post
THE GRIFF 8
Thanks for your reply. I have just had a look at some and there seems to be different diametres ie, 4.50, 4.51, 4.52, ect. What are the advantages of the different diametres or are these more for target shooting, would i be better off with the standard 4.50 size? Quote Link to post

All makers have their own choke spec for the bore, to benefit themselves by the owner of their product feeding their correct fitting ammo, if the pellet is to tight or to loose it will disturb the guns optimum output in power & accuracy, but like Aron said a good quality domed pellet will serve well like AAs Diablo, Accupells, the Korean pellets dress very well in the Airarms as the skirt seats well in the breech, or you could resize your own if you have time to kill. foxon. RaiderBoy 19
start off with accupels because they are more than likely to be the best and just experiment with others Raiderboy Quote Link to post
