Keep the photos coming and as you continue finding new functions on your camera your photos will improve even more (Not that there is anything wrong with them at the moment). I don't know what photo editing programs you use but if you haven't got it I can highly recommend Photoshop Elements, it's a bit more advanced than the editing program (DPP) that Canon supplied with my EOS 400D!
