that looks a pretty good job, is that 1inch mesh on the front the door?

what kind of size roughly is it?

and does that kind of trap catch rooks because its looking like my sgc application is going to take longer than i thought and there are some rooks need taking care of.

hi,

the trap is about 6 feet long 3 feet high and 3 feet wide the whole trap is coverd in 1" chicken wire

i"ve cault crows, rooks, jackdaws, magpies , jays , collard doves and pheasants in it ,

i bait the trap with cut maize for a few days then wire in the doors with ground funnels attached

the whole trap is collapsable and i can just about fit it in me van

They're good informative pic's.... I must admit I was wondering about the funnels too. We've had no success after the first 3 magpies so I'm wondering what to do next.

Was thinking about leaving the door open for them to wander in and out for a few days as you said before. I must admit my hearts starting to sink every morning seeing it empty :(

you"ll do much better pre baiting works a treat they soon find the food and get confident going in and out seeing there mates going in soon draws them in after a good catch it is better to leave it open again rather to re set and pre bait for another couple of days then re set good luck
