louey 0
hey people. i own a tikka T3 hunter in a .270 win. it's mainly used for deer and any other animal that pops it's head up. i know the 3-9 scope is the most common but is there any disadvantages of getting the fixed 10x scope? which ever type/brand i choose, i will try for a decent brand as to good quality. thanks and happy hunting. shottyscotty 3
the 3-9 would be better for picking up light in low light stalking Quote Link to post
Spangle 0
I would opt for a 8X Magnification! Quote Link to post
martin 332
The facts are that the human eye can use 7 x the most efficiently,so,argueably the best scope for your needs would be a 7x50 especially if you are not going to be taking longrange shots, say over 250yds.I would say though,do try to get the best quality scope you can afford, and,I would say Swarovski/Zeiss/Schmidt & Bender are all excellent scopes. Good luck with what you do get, and, don't forget to update us..............Martin. Quote Link to post

Alycidon 2
I use a 6x24x50 Swaro but in the field almost never use it above 8x. I think 10x would be Ok if of a good quality (S&B or Ziess have or had 10x fixed) but they are just a shade more limited. A Quote Link to post
