tsteve9999 456
I can recoommend Brian Betteridge to anyone in the Weat Mids area, I'm paying around 25p per lb for minced chicken, lamb, and beef, and 30odd pence for tripe. A tray of chicken thigh bones weighing around 40lb I would guess, with a lot of meat stilll on cost me 3 quid .Add a shredded cabbage , a few carrots, or anything other veg I can scrounge off the missus and it's a cheap way to feed the dogs. The only other thing I give is a cheap tin of pilchards in sunflower oil occasionally, and a handful of mixer. My two have improved 100% since starting using this stuff, the coat on my lurcher pup is really glossy. Tom. Thinking about trying this where abouts in the west midlands is he? It might be worth me traveling if its not to far unless someone can sujest a decent supplier in the leicestershire area? He's less than a mile from junction 9 of the M6. If you have a big freezer it may be worth the trip.
Mac 30
I walked into local butchers when I moved down here, I asked him what he does with his waste (all of it) he was paying for it to be disposed of and saving some bones for the locals as and when. Being a cheeky welsh fecker I said I'll take it all of you, when would you like me to pick it up He looked at me in an odd disbelieving way and said Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays.. then I scrounged a secondhand fridge freezer... been here nearly 4 months and haven't spent a penny on dog food, that's feeding 9 dogs, all are healthy, one or two need to go on a diet before work starts proper !! I do get a bit too much and get overloaded, but I've made a few friends down here and they get it delivered by me (after I sort it ) so everyone's happy... So a tip for you all, go and ask your butcher !!! Shy boys don't get sweeties !!! SJ I agree, whats the worst he can say , he wont say no thats a fact ! Best way to feed in my opinion, and they love it aswell as looking good on it.
