runforyourlife 361
It does seem as suggested that it is now becoming almost too expensive to own a Dog, or any pet for that matter without getting some form of vetinary insurance. You know things are getting bad when most of the Supermarket chains start offering pet insurance. As to why vets charge so much, god only knows, but they can get away with it, there must be many people who have persued a career in dentistry or medicine, who, looking at the money vets get must have thought that they have gone down the wrong career path. Super market chains offer everything, from morgages, to car insurance, to life in, to house in, so i dont see why offering pet insurance means things are bad.... awen 29
i recently got a pup it had an umbillical hernia so called up my vets had consultation and then told me it would cost £250 to fix, didnt have that sort of money so called up breeder to get advice. he got in contact with his vet and told him no more than £100. anyway changed vets only to be told that the hernia had closed up and all that was left was fat deposits that should dissapear as she grows simply cosmetic. so i think the answer to this is theres good and bad vets out there, maybe we should post the names of the surgeries that give a good service for a good price, the only way to fight these greedy fukers is not to support them but support the ones that arnt just there for the money
